I've heard several tapes from 1973 that suffer from poorer recording quality but the performances were better imo. Where's the guitar soloing on Keeper Of The Flame? That was the biggest disappointment with this show for me, other than that it's a good soundboard of an historical document.

Pete Sears played bass and keyboards with John Cipollina and Copperhead on this live FM radio broadcast with Tom Donahue. Hutch Hutchinson joined the band just before recording their first album, after Pete Sears went back to England to play with Rod Stewart, and to join Nicky Hopkins new band.

On the whole a good show. The sound is very clean. The studio audience was small and polite, no noise during the songs and no applause until the songs ended. The minuses are the excessive amount of tuning between songs, and Good Time Boogie, which - inspite of the name - is a ghastly song. I'm a QMS fan from the pre-Dino days, and I'm very pleased to have this show. I love this website!
